Large, two-wheeled coffee grinder from Fernald's Store in Somesville. Decorative paint and flower drawings. Opening in top for coffee beans topped with eagle; drawer in bottom to hold ground coffee. Manufactured by Enterprise Manufacturing Co.of Philadelphia, PA. Patented Oct. 21, 1879. Dimensions: 27.5" high, 17" wide, wheel diameter 19.5"

Description:
Pig hide, worn at edges. Three large stains on bottom (ink or water). Four metal nobs on bottom of bag. Handle worn - leather sewn over cord which is wrapped with stiff paper. Handle attaches to metal ‘D’ rings and then to metal plate on top of bag. Spring latch with metal ring to pull bag open. Metal edge attached to leather at opening. Two catches close over metal binding. Inside lining torn in several places. One pocket inside. Satchel owned by Mr. Henry Clark owner of Clark and Parker General Store at present site of Oceanarium in Southwest Harbor. [show more]
