Ready for the finishing touches.S.S. Acadia of the Eastern Steamship Lines being towed to her outfitting berth after the launching at Newport News Shipbuilding and Drydock Company. This ship was in service between New York and Yarmouth. It became a hospital ship during World War II. Local woman, Louine Lunt Peck, Army Nurse served on the Acadia. .
