Description: Collection of poems and thoughts by friends of Emma's in autograph book form. Emma Somes was the sister of Thaddeus Somes. She died age 22.
Description: Red velvet cabinet card/photo album, with “Album” written in silver metal on the cover. Size 10.25 X 8 X 2.5 There are also three inch metal plates on the edge where the missing clasp was. Sixteen leaves with space for one photo each. In the album are cabinet cards #997-863-1033 to 997-886-1056.
Description: A green faux leather scrapbook that includes many clippings from the Bar Harbor Times about the 1947 Fire on Mount Desert island. The original owner of the scrapbook is unknown. Many of the pages in the scrapbook are empty. Clippings are affixed to pages with glue. Also includes program for 1948 Vaudeville show and nine pages from Time magazine, Nov. 28, 1949. Contents of the scrapbook have not been scanned.
Description: 10" x 12" x 2" red and black scrapbook; pages are pre-numbered. Contains hand-written journal entries reflecting on the War and her personal and professional life, including number of eggs gathered each day. On each page are pasted newspaper articles (some undated) about the War and maps showing allied positions and movements; many of these obscure the journal entries and some have come loose and are in a separate folder (014.FIC.007.2).
