Description: Kit to darn holes "in anything that requires mending or darning in the Home"; for use with sewing machines. Contains 4 small hoops or rings in various sizes. Small black pastic needle of some sort with the kit but probably not in the original kit. Found in apartment over old store in Seal Harbor.
Description: Embroidered picture of the Rev. John Roger’s tomb under a willow tree in a dark wood frame with a gold border. Inscription of headstone reads, “ Died Oct 6th, 1782. Rev. John Rogers he is not dead but sleepeth”. Sewn by Sally Trask. On the back of the frame, “Given to me by my mother as a wedding present CFM”. See object file for more information. 1860
Description: Cameo cut - white, brown and pink. Depicts three masted bark on waves with sails set. Other objects seen - sextant, globe, compass in box, anchor and windless and sextant with rope decorations. Marked: “Bark Aquila, H.A. Norwell, Commander”. Signed, “G. Wood Sculp”.
Description: Wooden pieces strung between two narrow strips of wood - two on each side. Cord wrapped down the length with narrow strips of reed inserted every 1/16th of an inch. Twine coming loose at each end. Used in the woolen mill in Somesville for weaving. Three wooden reeds under same object number.
Description: Wreath made of flowers and leaves created from pieces of clothing belonging to William Thompson circles photo of Capt. William Thompson and a black bordered card with his birth and death dates. The wreath is enclosed in a deep walnut frame. Gold border around the wreath. Pieces of looped hair are underneath card. A news clipping and note are on file.
