Description: Five military ribbons, one pair is glued together, another three are also attached to each other. They include the Philippines Liberation medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign medal, American Campaign medal, Good Conduct medal, and the WWII Victory medal.

Description: Drinking glass with decorative engraving, including "Emma 1912 by Peter Kaulfuss" and a bird and palm fronds. Inscription suggests this glass was engraved by Peter Kaulfuss, an European immigrant who arrived in the U.S. in 1841 and ran an engraving shop in Saratoga, New York until the early twentieth century. Kaulfuss engraved forest scenes, deer, and buildings on his work. He also had booths at major fairs and expositions. He later engraved for the Corning Glass Works and Tiffany & Co. Description: Small granite stone Iron rod through stone, bent to hold at bottom, loop on top for attaching horse's reins. Pink flecks in granite. Some rust on rod. Some small white paint marks. Donor info - from former Dr. Robert Grindle House on Whitney Farm Road. Believed to be used by Dr. Grindle.
Description: Small box top. Glass over black and white design. Reads, “Forget Me Not”. Paper edged with dots. May be a box for saving a lock of hair or other personal item.
Description: White china with gold three leaf clover and stripe. Sugar bowl, creamer and teapot have a footed base. Cups have clovers on bottom along with saucers and plates. Eleven saucers, eight cups, six plates. Donor info - the set belonged to Daniel Somes and was used in the Mount Desert House when he lived there between 1832 and 1882.
Description: Nib pen with mother-of-pearl handle and copper colored metal. Ink well - copper or brass top with flower design. Bottom pressed glass squares. Brass tray has space for ink well. Decorative edge. Donor info - belonged to donor as a child. Born between 1910-1920.
Description: 1974 bill from D.W. Bartlett Co. for survey work in Somesville, probably related to the transfer of property between Francis Grindle and the MDI Historical Society. Survey crew charged $22.50 per hour; research and plan creation was $10; mileage was $.12/mile.
