Description: Ephemera: Framed poster inviting the citizens of Mount Desert to a Republican Rally in Otter Creek on Sept. 2nd. Speakers at the rally were T.R. Simonton, Esq. and A.P. Wiswell, Esq. Probably dates to the 1880s-1890s. Every line of type is different. Fine example of a typesetter's skill. A gift to the Historical Society in honor of Louisa Kennedy. Poster dimensions: approximately 13 1/4" wide by 20" in height.

Description: This small pitcher measures 2 and one half inches high. It looks like it was for a single serving of cream. It is inscribed with the letter "k" and is marked on the bottom with the date "1929", as well as, the words "The Bailey-Walker vitrified china". There is a wider gold band around the top, on the handle, and a thinner band around the bottom. Description: Framed collection of small calendars with associated photos, from Camp Beach Cliff on Echo Lake, 1956-1960. The "Seasons Greetings" calendars were sent by Mr. and Mrs. "Click" Pulis.
Description: Pelorus in case used by Simeon J. Milliken. Stamped inside "S.J. Milliken". Appears to have all parts. Top is attached by hooks on only one side.

Description: These are tan cotton twill pants with a fly closed with five buttons. The letters "MERC" are stamped inside on the belt flap. There are several numbers stamped inside. For example, "9149" in black ink which has bled slightly, M-9149 in yellow and again in black two more times, and "71418" on a label. They are clean and pressed. There are signs of wear around the pant leg hem lines. There are faded red stains on the left leg. [show more]
