Description: Diary and other narrative material written by Marian Lawrence Peabody. Includes description of summer life on MDI, social life in Boston, wartime experiences and events, travels to California, Paris and other locations, and the Claremont Hotel. Black binder has been included in the collection. There is substantial duplication between the material in folders and in the black binder (which was marked "May to Dec 1917"). Much of the material was incorporated in the book "To be Young was Very Heaven," with Mrs. Harold Peabody listed as the author. Also included are letters from Craig Wylie of Houghton Mifflin and Anne Ford about difficulty finding copies of the book in stores.
