Description: Collection consists of three boxes of archival files donated by the Seal Harbor Library pertaining to the history of Seal Harbor village and Acadia National Park. An itemized summary of each boxes' contents is enclosed in each box. An announcement from the library to the patrons on when the library will be open the summer of 1943. Based on war conditions and limited funds the library shortened the hours. Description: A green faux leather scrapbook that includes many clippings from the Bar Harbor Times about the 1947 Fire on Mount Desert island. The original owner of the scrapbook is unknown. Many of the pages in the scrapbook are empty. Clippings are affixed to pages with glue. Also includes program for 1948 Vaudeville show and nine pages from Time magazine, Nov. 28, 1949. Contents of the scrapbook have not been scanned.
