Title:
Boatyard Construction, Ballard copy
Description:
This 11 by 14 black and white photograph is a copy of a Ballard photograph used in an exhibit in about 2002. The print is of three men working on the hull of a motorboat in drydock. They are replacing the wooden planking and ribs on the port side towards the stern. The motor launch is white with a dark stern. Looking under the stern two boats are partially visible with large numbers on their sides. On the left side of the photo is a hull of a large gray boat with a number on the hull in the style that the numbers were displayed during World War II. Tools and scraps of wood are visible in the work area around and under the boat being repaired.
