Title:
Sterns in Southwest Harbor
Description:
Paul Stubing indicated that this photograph is of sterns in Southwest Harbor. He went on to say that the "Downeaster" has a whip antenna.
There are 6-7 large fishing vessels rafted to each other in this picture. Some of the sterns have rowboats resting on them. The name "Medric" is visible on one of the sterns.
Ralph Stanley said the white hulled boats are all sardine carriers and the dark hulled boat in the foreground is a fishing dragger.
