Title:
"Rowboats at Rest"
Description:
Paul Stubing indicated that the boat astern of the "Seal" belonged to Bunker and Ellis.
This picture is a harbor scene which has eight rowboats on the floats (all upright). There are five more tied to the float. There are also several lobster boats at anchor. On top of the "Seal" is a sign which says "Deep Sea Fishing".
Ralph Stanley said this is taken at Beal's Dock. The boat on the Town Dock that says "Seal" on the stern is a boat that Normand Bouchard built for Woodrow Herrick. The boat behind it looks like a Raymond Bunker-built boat.
