Title:
Head of Somes Sound; Arthur and Paul Tied to Float
Description:
Paul Stubing said this photo was taken at the head of the Sound. The boat in view, "Arthur and Paul" hailing from Atlantic is still in Stonington, Maine.
This photo offers a clear view (from the stern) of the interior of a typical lobster boat . The gauges and "driving wheel" can easily be seen. There are tools on deck. To the left of the photograph is a man sitting on a punt. There is another man walking onto the float (across the connecting bridge). In the background are several sail boats in cradles.
Ralph Stanley said this boat was built by Farnham Butler at his yard. It could be the owner on the float.
