However, on the first page in script are the words "Property of Mount Desert Island Local Union of Christian Endeavor Societies and Epworth Leagues, may 5th 1906". The pages are numbered 1 - 151. The first entry begins with a record of the 81st meeting of the Mount Desert Local Union in the Congregational Church of Southwest Harbor on May 5th, 1906.
The last entry is a record of a meeting held on Oct. 27th, 1917 between the Mount Desert Island Local Union and the Bass Harbor C.E. Society.
