This is a photo of two workers scrubbing the bottom of the "Rhode Island" as she is grounded out by the Southwest Harbor town dock located next to Beal's Wharf. Paul Stubing indicated that this process of cleaning and painting while grounded out saved hauling the vessel out of the water.
