Hand sewn saddle bags. Contained paper packages of medicine and old bottles. Belonged to Dr. Kendall Kittredge (1773-1857), first doctor on Mount Desert Island.

Face white. Brass hands and Roman numerals. Inside case - marked, “Ellsworth Brass”. Another case enclosed works. Also marked, “Brougham London 6097”. Scale reads slow-fast. Swan and floral design imprinted inside. Donor info - belonged to Dr. Kittredge, first doctor on Mt. Desert Island.

Black pig skin. Soles attached with wooden pegs, heel with nails. Sewn design at top of boot. Some scratches and cracks in leather. Two boot straps inside. Donor info - from Eugene Merchant house (donor’s father) former Dr. Kendall Kittredge house outside historic district. Believed to belong to Dr. Kittredge (1773-1857).
